Home Town:Currently, my family and I are located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Although I originally grew up in St. Paul, NE, I am a graduate of Sutton High School in Sutton, NE, and I claim both at my home towns.
Professional background: I entered the U.S. Air Force after graduating high school and spent ten years in the Nebraska Air National Guard. Upon graduating from college, which overlapped with the National Guard, I moved to Lincoln, NE. Schools that I have taught at prior to working at Palmyra are Lincoln Public, Boys Town, and Elmwood-Murdock.
Degrees Held & Institution Received From: Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with endorsements in English 7-12 and Psychology 7-12 from University of Nebraska-Kearney and my Master's degree in Pedagogy/Educational Psychology through Peru State College.
Favorite thing about teaching: Building positive relationships with students and watching them mentally grow into young adults ready for the “real” world that awaits them beyond the doors of Palmyra High School is one of the best aspects of teaching.
Hobbies/Interest Areas: Time spent with my family and friends are thoroughly treasured. I coach volleyball, baseball, football, and basketball for youth sports in Lincoln and at my children’s school for the past several years. My family and I love travelling! In my free time I also enjoy playing golf, writing, and working on my yard and home.
