We are ASPIRE
The Aspire Transition Program, located at District OR1's Bennet campus, is dedicated to equipping special education students aged 18-21 with essential work and life skills to support their transition into adulthood. The program focuses on teaching students key competencies for securing and maintaining employment and living independently.
Participants engage in hands-on learning through local work-related experiences, developing crucial skills in personal hygiene, safety, money management, job skills, healthy lifestyle habits, and socially appropriate behavior. As students advance, they refine their work abilities, explore job preferences, and build greater independence in both their daily lives and professional performance.
Aspire aims to prepare students for a successful transition from high school to the workforce and independent living, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of adulthood.
