I am Rebecca Cunningham. I was born in Fredonia, PA, number 11 of 12 kids, five girls and seven boys. I moved to Lincoln, NE the day after I graduated from high school. I attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a BS in 7-12 Home Economics. At that time I moved to South Dakota and taught at Harding County High School in Buffalo for two years. Then I moved east to St. Mary’s High School in Dell Rapids, S.D. for one year.
I then moved back to Lincoln, NE, to get married. My husband Don and I still live in Lincoln. I worked to years as a cake decorator for Mettler Bakery. I taught at Pius X High School in Lincoln, NE, for five years, leaving there to get a master’s degree in Home Economics Curriculum.
I have enjoyed teaching at Palmyra Jr/Sr High School for the last 19 years. During this time I have enjoyed working with the FCCLA (Family, Career, Community Leaders of America).
I have worked for Walgreen for the past 27 years part time in different areas. I also enjoy: cooking, baking, cake decorating, sewing, the outdoors-gardening, lawn work and camping.
